Teaching your son baseball

Have you faced these baseball concerns as a coaching dad? Has your son become the player he is because he wants to be , or because you forced him into the sport? Dad, if this sport has become more about your feelings and not your son’s , then you need to step back and rethink what you could be doing to your son.

Do you put more pressure on your son , than the rest of the team? If so, you are turning your son against you. Eliminate embarrassing your son in front of his team players. Talk to the team as a team , don’t pick on your son or any other child in front of their team players.

Do you decide what position your son should play? Have you checked to see what abilities the other team players have before you stuck your son in it. No one is perfect. There are some positions that you will never find or be satisfied with the player.

Athletes under thirteen tend to have a hard time settling down to one specific position. You will always have a weak link in the team.

When a team player is out sick , do you drag your son up to fill that position? Is he satisfied with you doing this ? Just because this is your son, don’t mean you should treat him like a guinea pig. Maybe some of the other players want to fill that empty position. Yes , experience helps out. If you’re steadily picking your son to fill the empty position , none of the other players are getting more experience in the empty positions. Treat the players fairly.

Nothing is more exciting than coaching your son. Making decisions to fill empty positions with other players isn’t easy either. Did anyone tell you the game was going to be easy? Remember your son looks at you as his father and coach. You should look at your son as a team player and your great son.

By the age fourteen, your son will develop a natural position. What about the other players on the team? Without experience , they will never hold a natural position.

With experience , the team can develop trust among themselves and learn that they can depend on each other. This will allow the team to see the game in a different and definitely a better way. Experience may force your son out of his natural position before his baseball career has started to another challenging position in baseball. Never tend to say never , because it will come back on you.

How to choose the best urban road bike for you

Racing bikes are good bikes and they all have similar traits to them. The light weight frame that you might have to your bike may be made of some light weight metal such as aluminum. The wheels that you are riding on called tires are made to be able to withstand high pressures. The handle bars are slightly lower than usual and the gears and brakes may be in a cluster so you don’t have to take your hands off the grips anytime.

If you just like to simply go on an easy going bike ride, than more than likely a racing type of bike isn’t for you. The bike and its wheels are made smaller for lighter weight and the breaks are made for light weight also and not a quick stop so you may want another bike like a mountain bike. The gear ratio is probably going to be a lot longer on a racing bike to gain speed but you can get another bike such as the mountain bike that you can climb steep hills and mountains with, with ease.

With a light weight frame that you can pick up with one hand and the tight positions you may have to sit will make you accelerate at high speeds higher than a normal bike. The way the bike is made is to limit the wind and create a good position for the rider. With owning a racing bike they can reach pretty high speeds up to 35 mph I would say or at least what I have seen. They might be able to go even faster but I am not a bike rider fan so I wouldn’t know.

Another thing that racing bikes don’t have that a regular bike would is mud flaps to keep you from getting mud all over the back of your legs and bottom. Mudguards are good when riding in a dirt environment or a muddy road. As I stated this is also a choice that goes with a regular bike and not available in racing bikes.

Although you might have been thinking of getting a racing bike, and might have had the rack up for it in the garage already. It might not be the bike for you if you just like to go on easy rides and not fast speedy races. Other people may prefer to challenge their friends or family when owning a racing bike, but the family just may like the regular bikes too. Just choose whichever bike is right for you and what you want out of it. Don’t get the bike that you just want to have to own, get the bike that’s right for you and that you will enjoy riding.

Play more golf and pay less

You have been playing the same golf course now for the past five years and you have gotten pretty good at traversing it. Your score is lower than it was when you first started. You can advise anyone one where just about any sand trap is or water hole, etc. But then you get invited to play another course with some friends of yours. You are excited because of all the years of practice you have under your belt. Then as the game is finished, you are discouraged because you played one of the worst games of your life.This is an all too common problem. Let’s face it! Golf courses are different from one to the next. Just because you can do well on one doesn’t mean you are going to do so at others. It’s one of the reasons the pros struggle with certain tournaments and excel at others. It’s important to get experience in many different courses. That doesn’t guarantee that you will do well at new courses going forward. But it will help you when playing harder courses because you will have more experience in diversifying your “portfolio of courses” so to speak.

Golf is an expensive sport to play so for me to suggest that you should branch out and get experience in many other sports means that you are going to have to shell out a whole bunch more money. What you need to do though is start off with about ten minutes of easy running. This will sufficiently warm up the legs for the strenuous workout that is about to follow.

After your intervals are done, make sure you finish with a few minutes of easy running and then do some running stretches as part of your cooling-down routine. Stretches after your running workout are fine. They help the recovery process and have been proven to help reduce the risk of all kinds of injuries.
